Forty objects from the Wien Museum's permanent exhibition meet forty objects from our storage depot (which you can find in our online collection). Surprising as these pairings are, they're no blind dates. Instead, Mixed Doubles stages a playful dialogue across the centuries, creating elective affinities between objects, artworks, and themes of all kinds. It's also a glimpse into the museum, with insights into a collection that comprises well over a million objects. Last but not least, it's a call for you to create your own associations between the objects in our collection!

The book is published on the occasion of the reopening of the Wien Museum.
