Descriptive Grammar of Pashto and its Dialects

Spoken by as many as 50 million people in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Pashto comprises a range of widely-diverging variants, yet is underdescribed. The CASL Pashto Grammar is distinctive in providing a description of the language that is supported by generous exemplification presented in native orthography, Roman transcription, morpheme-by-morpheme glossing, and translation. Specific attention is paid to comparisons of features of the major dialect groups. It is designed as a primary reference work for both linguists and students of Pashto.
