Towards a Multifunctional Lexical Resource

How can lexical data be represented such that they can serve to satisfy the needs of different types of dictionary users in different usage situations? Starting from a function-theoretic notion of lexicography, this book tries to answer this question by exploring the use of semantic web formalisms to approach both general and specific issues in modelling lexical resources. In doing so, this book covers topics which are of relevance to lexicographers and computational linguists alike.
