Drivers of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Regional Dynamics

The need for qualitative and effective insights on key concepts and models on regional development and growth, from an endogenous perspective, has increased over the past decade. Their use through, which various assets and their regional and local characteristics are enhanced in the creativity, knowledge and innovation forces and processes of entrepreneurial socio-economic activities, have become of paramount importance in a regional dynamic economic environment in a city or region. This volume provides an overview of their spatial roots, impacts and new establishment survival on evidence-based analysis of (non-)European studies. The results and strategic options are interpreted and discussed from both an analytical and a policy perspective to help cultivate creativity, human capital development and innovation and entrepreneurial activity as drivers of economic development to give a city or region its competitive edge.
